Jennifer Helgeson is a PhD student at the Grantham Institute for Climate and the Environment at the London School of Economics. Her research topic is on individuals’ understanding and estimation of climate change-related risks. Helgeson has worked as a consultant to the Grameen Foundation and has held the position of Economist in the Office of Applied Economics, Building and Fire Research Lab at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. She previously studied Environmental Economics at the University of Oxford's Environmental Change Institute, and Economics at Brandeis University. She is also the recipient of a Fulbright Grant to Norway.
