Jalyssa Dugrot

Jalyssa Dugrot is a 24-year-old American journalist based in Florida with a background in the government sector through prior experience working with a US defense contractor. Her work critically examines the impact of Western intervention in the Middle East, with a particular focus on Lebanon and Syria. Her reporting and analysis aim to deconstruct dominant Western narratives and provide historical depth and context often missing from conventional coverage. She has written for outlets such as Al Mayadeen and MintPress News and is currently producing a documentary that builds on her latest investigation into Syria with colleague and coauthor Angie Bittar. Through her work, she seeks to bridge geopolitical analysis with local perspectives, highlighting the human stories, consequences, and political realities that are often overlooked in mainstream reporting.
