Hung Q. Tran is the executive managing director at the Institute of International Finance (IIF). Before assuming these responsibilities assisting the CEO in the overall management of the IIF in 2009, he was counsellor and senior director in capital markets and emerging markets policy. In this role, he was responsible for the institute’s emerging market policy work as well as global capital market analysis. Prior to his work at the IIF, Tran served for six years at the International Monetary Fund as deputy director in the Monetary and Capital Markets Department.
