Henry Giroux is a cultural critic, writer and journalist. He holds the McMaster University chair for scholarship in the public interest in the English and Cultural Studies Department and is the Paulo Freire distinguished scholar in critical pedagogy. Giroux is a member of Truthout’s Board of Directors. For several years, he was the co-cditor-in-chief of the Review of Education, Pedagogy and Cultural Studies published by Taylor and Francis. He has won several national and international awards, including the Visiting Distinguished Professor Award at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
