Helga Tawil-Souri is an associate professor in media, culture and communication and in Middle Eastern and Islamic studies at New York University. She is currently the director of the Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies. She is co-editor of the book Gaza as Metaphor (2016, Hurst/Oxford).
