Gökhan Ereli

Gökhan Ereli is a PhD candidate and Master’s graduate of the Middle East Technical University’s International Relations Department. He specializes in Gulf studies, particularly of the United Arab Emirates. Gökhan has served as the assistant, expert and Gulf Studies Coordinator at the Center for Middle Eastern Studies for six years. He has authored over 120 opinion pieces analyzing various facets of Gulf politics and international relations, with a keen interest in the evolving diplomatic strategies of the United Arab Emirates. Gökhan’s research aims to unravel the complex interplay between traditional and emerging forms of diplomacy, emphasizing the country's pioneering shift towards minilateralism.
