Dr. Kaase Gbakon is an energy economist and founder of Energy Business Analytics, an independent energy markets research platform. Dr. Gbakon holds a PhD in Petroleum Economics, Management and Policy and has nearly two decades of experience across Nigeria’s oil and gas industry, including commercial analysis, project economics, strategy and energy policy at Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC). He is now based in Canada, where he continues to analyze natural resource economics, global oil and gas markets, refining economics, energy investment and energy strategy. He writes regularly on energy market developments, where he brings the perspective of a practitioner who understands both the technical and commercial realities of the oil and gas value chain.
