Dr. Hoda Amer is an Egyptian-American board-certified anatomic pathologist and cytopathologist. Dr. Amer grew up in international communities and developed a passion and appreciation for diversity, cultures and languages. Dr. Amer dedicates much of her time to non-profit work. She also has an interest in women’s health, particularly human papillomavirus infection (HPV) and female genital mutilation (FGM). She is the author of the book, Animals of Undetermined Significance, a humorous novel about Pathology residents. She also enjoys drawing, and her art pieces have been featured in magazines. Dr. Amer lives between Columbus, Ohio and New Cairo, Egypt.
