Donna Nincic

Donna Nincic earned her PhD in Political Science from New York University and currently is Professor and Director of the ABS School of Maritime Policy and Management at the California Maritime Academy, a campus of the California State University, in Vallejo, CA. She has over ten years of experience in maritime security, with a specific emphasis on maritime piracy, terrorism, and other “non-state” maritime threats. Her current research focuses on linkages between drug/human/weapons trafficking and piracy/terrorism in the maritime domain; “root causes” of maritime piracy; and emerging maritime threats in the Arctic.
