Dickens Awiti is a Kenyan filmmaker, producer and UN-accredited freelance interpreter with over 17 years of experience in cross-cultural communication. He graduated from Mang'u High School in Kenya and became a French language teacher. Driven by a desire to convey complex stories across societal and cultural divides, Awiti transitioned into the East African media landscape. He is known for his creative role as a producer on the Kenyan television movie, Kaz (2022). Additionally, he has served as a translator for prominent regional documentaries, including Trade Unions and Child Labour in East Africa: A Focus on Zanzibar (2008).
