Abdurrahman Wahab received his PhD in Social Justice Education and Educational Policy from OISE, University of Toronto. His PhD dissertation is on education and democracy in relation to Kurdish nationalism and state-building. He has taught at different universities in Kurdistan and has published extensively about the issues and prospects of education in the Kurdistan region. His book in Kurdish, “Swimming Upstream: Education from a Critical Lens,” has been well received in the Kurdistan region.
