The English Beast

The English Beast, Paul Hoensbroech (1919). This book was published in Germany just after the end of the war. It accuses Britain of responsibility for the war, and of starving Germany into submission. Arguments such as this contributed to the conspiracy theory that Germany had not lost the war militarily, but had been brought down by a loss of morale as a result of internal agitators.
