Vivian Ibrahim completed her PhD in Middle Eastern studies at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London where she is currently a Senior Teaching Fellow and Research Associate. In the fall of 2011 she will be Croft Assistant Professor in Middle Eastern Studies at University of Mississippi.
Reviewed by former UN Secretary General Boutros Boutros Ghali, Ibrahim is the author of "The Copts of Egypt: Challenges of Modernisation and Identity" (IB Tauris, 2010) and co-editor of the forthcoming book "Political Leaderships, Nations and Charisma" (Routledge, 2011).
Ibrahim has regularly appeared and commentated on Bloomberg, Newsnight, BBC World, BBC News and BBC World Radio Service on issues in relation to the Middle East.
