Margaret (Peggy) Sands Orchowski


Peggy lived and worked for over ten years in South America and Europe, speaks four languages and raised her two children in three. She earned a Ph.D. in public finance and an MA in international relations at the University of California at Santa Barbara, a M.A. in urban affairs at Occidental College as a CORO Fellow and a B.A. in journalism and Latin American studies at the University of California, Berkeley. She was a Director of the Los Angeles Olympic Games and a development officer for international programs at  UCSB.  She is a committee chair of the National Press Club in Washington DC and a board member of the national woman’s journalism organization JAWS.  She has played amateur competitive tennis, and violin with chamber music groups in California and Europe.
