Katarzyna Nowak, PhD

Katarzyna Nowak completed her PhD in Biological Anthropology at the University of Cambridge, UK, inspired by her first degree in Animal Behavior and the enduring mentorship of Professors Phyllis Lee and Douglas Candland. She has ten years of experience conducting field studies on primates and elephants in tropical forests. She divides her year between lecturing in the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Department at Princeton University, and working in conservation in Tanzania as co-director of the Udzungwa Elephant Project. She recently joined the editing team of a book on primates in flooded habitats.
