Author of more than twenty books, award wining author of the novel “El testigo” (Herralde Prize), the book on soccer “Dios es Redondo” (Vazquez Montalbán Prize). For his piece on violence and drug-dealing in Mexico, “The Red Carpet”, he received the King of Spain International Award for Journalism. He currently teaches at Princeton, and has been visiting professor at Yale.
