Chairman and founder of PactEurope, a new EU Public Affairs consultancy geared towards the radically changing European environment and the challenges that come with it, Daniel is currently creating an innovative platform of European services.
He started his career in 1975 working for the European Committee of Sugar Manufacturers, where he was Director General from 1988 until 1994. He then went on to become Secretary General of COPA-COGECA, one of the main European associations representing farmers and agricultural cooperatives in the EU.
In 1996 Daniel founded CLAN Public Affairs, a major European affairs consultancy in Brussels and has held the position of chairman of the European Training Institute (ETI), Brussels' leading training centre in EU public affairs and lobbying.
Daniel is also a renowned author with publications such as “The Comitology Reform” and “European Lobbying”. He is a guest lecturer at the Université Libre de Bruxelles and the College of Europe and used to be lecturer at the Georgetown University, USA.
