Al-Sharif Nassef is a lifelong student, activist, musician, aspiring lawyer, and world explorer based in Washington DC. He traces his heritage to the streets of Cairo and gardens of Shiraz, but considers himself a member of humanity first and foremost. Al-Sharif has spent many a summer in Cairo reporting on Egypt’s post-revolution transition. He sees his educational background in Political Science as a stepping-stone to actuate positive change in the societies around him. Al-Sharif currently works with the American-Arab Anti Discrimination Committee and is a Middle East contributor for Fair Observer.
