Stefan Bergheim is the founder and director of the Frankfurt-based Center for Societal Progress (Zentrum für gesellschaftlichen Fortschritt). He holds a doctoral degree in economics and has worked as an economist in the financial industry between 1995 and 2008. His research agenda has moved from business cycle analysis to long-term growth, happiness and progress.
