Sasha Riser-Kositsky joined Eurasia Group's Asia practice in 2011 as a researcher, focusing on India. He graduated from the University of Pennsylvania, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in South Asia studies, comparative politics and diplomatic history, and wrote an honors thesis examining the developmental benefits of state bifurcation in India. Sasha travelled extensively across India to conduct primary research for his thesis, and interned with a social enterprise incubator in rural Rajasthan.
