Selim Koru is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Istanbul’s Boğaziçi University where he studied History and International Studies. Following his studies, Selim worked for Al Jazeera in Washington D.C. He has lived in different parts of the world and speaks Turkish, German, English, Arabic and some Farsi. He has a passion for history and backpacking. Selim is interested in examining Turkey’s new role in the Middle East and the wider world.
