Meghan earned a BA in political science from Gettysburg College, PA in 2006 shortly after completing her master's degree in comparative European politics at Trinity College in Dublin, Ireland, in 2010. During graduate school, she held internships in the Oireachtas and in the "Ireland for Europe" campaign, a pro-Lisbon Treaty group.

Prior to that, she worked on Capitol Hill for New Jersey Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen as an office manager and legislative assistant.
