Klaus F. Zimmermann
Director of the Institute for Study of Labor (IZA), Bonn, Professor of economics at the University of Bonn, and Honorary Professor at the Free University of Berlin and Renmin University China, Klaus is one of the great economists and intellectuals of our time. Few can match his impeccable record of perfection; he has effortlessly played the role of mentor, professor, administrator, and researcher at the leading centers of learning around the world.
Until recently, Klaus was President of the German Institute for Economic Research (DIW) in Berlin. As a lecturer at Mannheim University, he was -among others- the founder (1986) of the esteemed European Society for Population Economics (ESPE) and founding Editor of the Journal of Population Economics. His research interests focus on labor economics, population economics, and migration. Klaus has been among the best ranking research economists of Germany and continues to do the profession much honor.
He will be advising Fair Observer on economic analysis of global trends.
