Kwaku was born and raised in Accra, Ghana, and is currently pursuing an M. Phil. in International Relations at the University of Cambridge where his research focuses on West African regional peace and security. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and French from Yale University. He has previously held internships with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ghana and the Institute for Policy Studies in DC, advocating for a change in U.S. foreign policy to Africa. His writing, which focuses on African politics, has been featured in the Foreign Policy in Focus online journal, CommonDreams.org and PolicyMic. He has also featured as an analyst on BBC’s The World Today radio program.
