Venezuela

Per Kurowski is a regular blogger and founder of Petropolitan, a Venezuelan NGO dedicated to defending citizens' interests in an oil-cursed country. His previous experience comprises five years as an executive in the financial leasing and brewery sector; 25 years as an independent financial and business strategy consultant, mostly in Venezuela; and eight years as representative of a Chilean bank in Venezuela.

Per has done consulting for the Inter-American Development Bank, and from 2002–2004 he was an executive director at the World Bank. Since 1997 he has published around 500 op-eds in Venezuela, and in 2006 he authored Voice and Noise. He is a member of New Rules for Global Finance.

Per was born in Venezuela in 1950. He has a B.A. in economics from the University of Lund, Sweden, and an M.B.A. from IESA Caracas (1974). He has also studied corporate finance at London Business School, and international economics at London School of Economics.
