Emeritus Professor of European Studies at the University of Bath, Jolyon has published extensively in topics related to European political science and history. He is currently Visiting Professor of Political Science at Yale Univeristy. Jolyon has held professorships at the leading universities of the world, including Harvard University, the Institut d’Etudes Politiques, the European Business School, Columbia University, and New York University, among many others.

In addition, Jolyon holds advanced research positions at the Institut Français des Relations Internationales, is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts, Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques, and is Member of the Advisory Boards at several elite institutions in Europe.

His research focuses on ‘security and defense policy’ and on ‘transatlantic relations’.

He will be advising Fair Observer on foreign and defense policy as well as the changing nature of transatlantic relations
