Chairman of the renowned French think-tank Fondation Robert Schuman, Jean-Dominique Giuliani works on promoting Europe and promoting studies on Europe. He is also the founder and chairman of J-DG.COM International Consultants. Earlier he was a member of the general directorate of the Taylor Nelson Sofres market research company and the Chief of Staff the President of the Senate, René Monory (1992- 1998). He has been Special Advisor to the European Commission (2007-2010).
Jean-Dominique graduated in law and political Sciences from the Institute for Political Studies in Aix-en-Provence. He is a formidable intellectual and the author of a number of books, including L'élargissement de l'Europe (2004) and Un Européen très pressé (2008), Atlas permanent de l'Union européenne. In recognition of his distinguished public service, he was decorated by several orders of merit such as the Chevalier of the Legion of Honor and the Commander of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.
