The former Federal Chancellor of Austria, Dr. Alfred Gusenbauer is currently a consultant and lecturer, and a member of supervisory boards of Austrian companies.  He is a lecturer at the University of Innsbruck and at Harvard and acts as Board Member and Advisor to various large corporations, such as Strabag and the WAZ Group.

Dr. Gusenbauer has a doctorate in political sciences from the University of Vienna.  He was chairman of the social committee of the Council of Europe, chairman of the Social Democratic Party of Austria (SPÖ), the federal leader of the SPÖ youth wing, and vice-president of the International Union of Socialist Youth and vice-president of the Socialist International.
