An Official Fellow and member of the Governing Body of Brasenose College, Oxford, Anthony has taught at the University of Oxford since 1971. His expertise lies primarily in the areas of money and banking, macroeconomics, and international economics. His research, numerous conference and seminar presentations, and extensive publications in these areas range across theory, institutions, applied econometrics, policy, history of economic thought, and economic history.
He has been an adviser to various governments, central banks, and financial institutions, and has been a member of various commissions and working groups, a visiting professor in a number of universities, and has also organized and chaired many international conferences.
He advises Fair Observer on matters pertaining to the global economy.
